Overview

This property had a very common 10/20mm shingle surface that looked very tired. Stones trafficking off the property as cars pull in & out causing a mess at the front of the property. Katrina (Homeowner), decided it was time for a change!

What we did

Luckily, at Smart Surfacing Solutions we have plenty of machines at our disposal to allow us to be as efficient as possible. In this case, we opted for our 2 tonne Wacker Nueson Excavator! Perfect for the task ahead.

Day 1:

• We excavated all the existing shingle and type one MOT.
• Laid a geotextile membrane to stop any weeds growing through the new surface.
• Built back up the levels Type 3 MOT.

Day 2:

• Supplied, laid and compacted 10mm Open Grade Tarmac at a depth of 70mm.

Day 3:

• Supplied and installed 18mm Resin Bound.

Outcome

As you can see from the pictures, what an amazing difference a Resin Bound surface can make to the kerb appeal of your property! Completely bring the best out of the features of this lovely house and complementing the existing brick edging detail around the parameter.
